First Annual Vortex Festival

We are so excited to host our first annual Vortex Festival!

The Vortex Festival will be held on August 8th-9th, 2026 in Crestone, Colorado. The vision behind this festival was to celebrate "the Vortex" that is Crestone. There is so much myth and lore around our small little town, as well as the San Luis Vallley. Crestone is one of the most unique places in the world for many reasons.

For one, this Valley has sacred origins. Dubbed the "Bloodless Valley", it was a place that that the indigenous tribes found so sacred, that they agreed that all tribes that met or traveled here, agreed to shed no blood. The Hopi's have visited Crestone and the mountains to perform sacred ceremonies, in which they said no one should ever live here long-term, that the energy was too high.

Throughout my many years of living here, one thing was always clear, the energy in Crestone is like no other. It cannot be replicated nor ignored. The Vortex represents everything known and unknown about this town. The Vortex cannot be explained, but must be experienced.

This is what sparked our vision for creating this festival, as a way to bring people together for an out-of-this-world experience. To celebrate and feel the magic that these mountains provide. Our Festival will host vendors, food, speakers, workshops & community events.
